A sanctuary for humans, plants and animals

In Chiriqui, Panama

Community

We are growing our project into a peaceful, intergenerational sanctuary where shared living and sustainable land stewardship go hand in hand. This is a place where everyone can learn from each other and put their own unique gifts forward. In community, we care for another, divide workload and share great laughs. We're looking for like-minded people to share this joy of self-sustainable living with. Curious if this is the place for you?

Sanctuary for animals

At the moment we care for 7 dogs, 3 cats, a horse, 4 cows, chickens and ducks. Our place is also loved by the wildlife like humming birds, toucans, frogs and howling monkeys at the rewilded outskirts of our land. The wellbeing of the animals is our top priority.

They also provide us with eggs and milk, making our community for a large part self-sustainable. We make sure this doesn’t bother the animals.

Regenerative farming

We plant using various methods like permaculture, food foresting and other ways. We design together with the land and restore it, while also creating an abundance of food for us. We use only natural and alternative methods in cultivation. This means that we do not always achieve full yields, but rather share them with all kinds of animals.

In addition to the usual tropical crops such as bananas, oranges, limes, pineapples, mangoes, papayas, coffee, cocoa, yucca, and sugarcane, we have a wide variety of about 30 lesser-known fruits, such as jaboticaba, uva amazonica, abiu, biriba, satra, borojo, and pitaya... And of course, there are also many herbs, spice plants like pepper, orchids such as vanilla, a small collection of heliconias, and variety of ginger plants.

Let’s create a beautiful abundance together
